After a long but fun journey of tracking down fabrics, pillow inserts, buttons, and trim, I finally feel as though I have all of the materials I'll need for making pillows for my Etsy shop. It's been a month since I wrote my first post, during which I spent time doing the aforementioned, as well as getting to know my new sewing machine and making more trips to see family and friends. When I was at home between trips, I designed and constructed the first of a few pillows that will be in my shop soon. I also made some cute little lavender sachets.
I especially love the plaid fabric of the pillow above. To me, it seems vintage, but the people at the shop weren't sure. I constructed chambray loops for wooden buttons that I sewed on with a bright red silk embroidery thread. Good materials, down to the smallest details, are important to me.
Today I am working on another pillow cover. This one is a square shape, with striped fabric and larger wooden buttons. As soon as I get a little collection of sorts together, I will officially open my shop, Willaby, and post a link!

It's lovely!! I am excited about your blog and shop! Best of luck!!
